How to Play:
Word Search is a classic vocabulary puzzle where you find hidden words buried in a grid of random letters. Words can be placed horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and even backwards.

Objective:
Find all the hidden words in the grid. Swipe or click-drag across adjacent letters to select each word.

Controls:
- Desktop: Click and drag across letters to select a word. Release to submit
- Mobile / Tablet: Touch and swipe across letters in a straight line
- Select direction: Words can be selected in any of 8 directions (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) — including backwards
- Hint button: Click the ? circle next to any word to reveal its first letter

Scoring:
- Each letter in the found word = +10 points
- Example: finding a 5-letter word earns +50 points
- Find all words to win!

Difficulty Levels:
- Easy: 8×8 grid with 4 words — only right and down directions, perfect for beginners
- Medium: 10×10 grid with 6 words — adds diagonal directions for extra challenge
- Hard: 12×12 grid with 8 words — all 8 directions including backwards, maximum difficulty

Pro Tips:
- Scan the word list first for unusual letters — they often narrow down word positions
- Check all 8 directions, especially backwards and diagonals on Hard mode
- Use the hint button strategically on longer words when you are stuck
- Look for rare letters like Q, X, Z, or J — they are often easier to spot in the grid
- On Hard mode with 8 words in a 12×12 grid, systematic scanning row by row helps ensure you do not miss any
